Felting
Have you ever ignored the care label on your favourite sweater and ended up with a pint-sized version of the original? Congratulations- you've inadvertently created your first felted project!
Felting is the process of creating fabric using natural sources. Traditional felting involves blending wool fibers to create a solid piece of fabric. There are two forms of felting: needle felting and wet felting. Needle felting uses a small, barbed needle to catch and tangle the fibres together to mould and shape your design. With wet felting, we blend the fibers much like a washing machine: through water and agitation!
