About KAIROS Fiber Art
It started with a shuttle and a dream. At least, that's the way one-half of the Kairos team tells it.
KAIROS Fiber Art was started by Barb Hagarty, a crafty Canadian who, having been an avid crafter for most of her life, decided it was time to branch out. Where some may have picked up crocheting or quilting, Barb time-traveled straight into the Victorian era with Tatting, an antique form of lace making. Before long, the house was decked in doilies and it was time for another challenge.
Challenge is the name of the game here at Kairos. We strive to challenge the way we think about modern crafting by bringing to the forefront techniques that have been almost forgotten in time. Take a browse through our shop to find the perfect portal into another world: whether it's a sturdy Viking-era hat to channel your nordic side, a delicate tatted bookmark reminiscent of Downton Abbey, or a woven wall-hanging that would make Penelope jealous, we've got it at Kairos Fiber Art.
